Would a hotspot use more data for the same thing? Read more for specific?

Situation: I have an IPhone with unlimited (work). I have a smart TV. I have the same Netflix account for the phone and TV. Question: If I use the hotspot from my phone to watch the Netflix stream on my Smart TV, will it use significantly more data than if I just watched the Netflix on my iPhone? (I've looked into the Lightning device and seems to iffy with mirroring Netflix from 6s to smart tv) (also, though my plan is unlimited, I don't want to through up any red flags at work of rediculous amount of data being used) (I don't have any other Wi-Fi at home)

Streaming from works Wi-Fi will show an uptick on usage through their router(s).

Streaming from your phone's HotSpot won't show up on works data use, but it will eat into your hotspot allowance which is NOT unlimited, no matter which carrier you are on, your hotspot allowance is limited and is not from the same bucket as your unlimited data is.

And yes doing some things will in fact use more data. Viewing a movie at standard resolution instead of HD, will use less data, than viewing the same movie in HD.
