If you purchased insurance when you got the phone, you should ASK at the place you got it. DH and I have owned a LOT of cellphones in our lives, and NEVER bought insurance - I handle a ten-thousand dollar musical instrument for hours, every day of my life, and have ever lost, dropped, scratched it, etc. Unlike the legions of idiots who write in here, I have never dropped my phone (or instrument!) in a toilet, pool, sink, cereal with milk, soda, puddle; I have never fallen on it, sat on it, thrown it in anger, had it stolen, had a CHILD reset all my passwords (year right - stolen phone lies. ) nor a baby slobber on it, or BITE it so badly it was damaged. If we actually believed all the loony lies we get here, then there would be no hope at All for the human race. So if you think you bought phone repair/replace insurance, CALL THEM. If not, pay for the repairs yourself, just like anything else in life.

If the insurance covers damage then yes. But there's usually a significant excess (US=deductible) to deter you from making minor claims.

So if that crack is on the screen and the screen needs changing at a cost of, say, £150, you may well find that your policy excess is £100 in which case you make a claim for the repair but have to pay £100 towards the repair costs. But if the crack is on a purely cosmetic part which costs £75 to replace you might choose to put up with it as that's below the policy excess so you wouldn't get a penny towards the repair costs.

In short, we don't know what insurance you have nor what's covered. Check your policy documentation (it's probably available online) and if you have any doubts ask your insurer.
