Would it be stupid to buy the new iPod Touch now that I have the iPhone 5?
I want to keep my music separate from my phone because the phone is just too heavy, especially when I run with it. What do you guys think?
Yes it would be just a waste of money. The iPhone does everything the iPod does but better.

I have an ipod 4 and i also have an iphone. DON't BUY AN IPHONE WHEN you HAVE AN IPOD TOUCH IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA BUT AFTER A WHILE U STOP USING YOUR IPOD AND ITS JUST A BIG WASTE OF MONEY your IPOD BECOMES A PAPER WEIGHT.
Yah it would be a waste because the iPod does everything that an iPhone does besides texting and calling people. If you want an iPod just for songs you can buy the iPod Nano. It isn't too heavy and is great for running with because it is light and small. I have an iPod touch and an ipod nano. I use the ipod touch for games and stuff and the ipod nano is perfect just for all my songs. So you could buy an ipod nano thats cheaper than ipod touch and i easier and more portable to use while running.
What's the difference other then calling? The iPod is different in design, but the firmware is exactly the same with the exact same features. Don't buy it if you already bought the iPhone 5. Waste of money.
I would get an iPod nano or Shuffle if you need an iPod to run with. The nano has things like Nike+ and a built in FM Radio to listen to (no Wi-Fi required.) But the Shuffle has the clip on design, so you can clip it on to you while exercising. Honestly, the nano is a bit overpriced for what you get, so I wouldn't get that. The shuffle is an okay price since it comes with headphones and the charger. It all depends on how much music you have, too. The iPod shuffle only has 2GB of storage, where as the nano has 16GB. If you plan on getting the iPod touch, it's available in 16GB/32GB/64GB, but the 16GB model has limitations.

I want to get a new one as a gift for a special somebody, but I'd rather get the latest one than one that will be outdated in a month or so. So the question is is it likely that Apple will be updating the iPods? Should I wait for that? Or is there no chance if that so I should get the current colored models?
