Would it be wise to have both a laptop AND a desktop computer?

So, I have this really great computer named Phil, (Yes, IIm one of those losers who names technology), but Phil is a P.C., so I don't really have a lot of freedom creatively, I mean, Window s Movie Maker is basically the dollar store version of iMovie (I know from experience, I have it on my iPhone), and Phil is great for watching movies and television on because it's practically the size of a small T.V. But we use MacBooks in school, and I just fell in love with everything about it, the sleek design, the windows for creativity, the keyboard, the display, the EVERYTHING. I would love to have one, but I also love having Phil, so I would never sell him or anything like that. I've heard about some people (mainly creative YouTubers) who have both a laptop and a desktop computer, would it be wise to save up my money and have both?

If you have the budget then why not, If I had money I would.

Hi, if you wanted a Mac just for editing purposes, there's plenty of movie editing software better than imovie for "Phil". I would consider and compare all of your options before investing a lot of money into a mac computer. The best way to do this is with a pros/cons list.

Having both is not a problem. Sometimes, there are things a laptop can't handle and only a PC can…

Yes. If you like OSX then a Macbook for mobile use and creative work, and a Windows desktop for gaming, would be a sensible combination.

Why not just install OSX(MAC OS) on Phill? Best of both worlds.
