Would they be able to replace my EarPods?
This is the 2nd time I had purchased an Apple EarPod that had developed faults with the cable. 1st one got stolen by one of my friend's older brother, but this one was bought not even 5 months ago.
It no longer produces any sound from my notebook, iPhone and Lumia. I spent around $45 for these ones at Good Guys.
Added (1). Their warranty conditions state they are covered by a 3 year warranty that covers defects in workmanship, but never stated anything about Acts of God. I still have the recipt but missing the serial number and package.
It developed some cuts along the cord nearest to the 3.5mm jack.
Added (2). I highly doubt $45 is a few dollars. I ca't even enjoy my music without the clarity and bass together, not to mention some other earphones tend to have bass that sounds saturated and distorted at decibels higher than 80.
If you take them into an Apple store and explain that there's a fault with the product, by law, they need to exchange it.
Alas, I think they'd call it normal wear and tear. You could try though, they're probably only worth a few dollars to the retailer.
Edit, they cost you $45 but the retailer would have paid less than that.
NO
1st one got stolen by one of my friend's older brother-- not a fault
cuts along the cord nearest to the 3.5mm jack--not a fault
I highly doubt $45 is a few dollars--as you keep saying money is no problem
SO GO BUY SOME MORE & look after them this time
JD, you bought them 5 months ago man, be real. The Ipod may have had some warranty, not the ear pieces after 5 months.

Okay i have an iphone & my dad pays my bill for my phone & i went over my data 3 times & he said tht thts crazy & hes going to call to see how i went over it. - Will Will Apple earpods work with iPhone 4? I'm planning to get Apples new earpod headset. A lot of people are complaining that the sound changes by itself while in use of the earpods. Has this happened to you? Also, I want to know if the remote and mic will work with iPhone 4. ALSO i need to know how it works out with running! I like to run and some people say that sweat gets into them and wrecks them. I'm not an extremely sweaty person though.
- Will my iPhone 4s have iOS 6 and the new earpods? I will be getting an iPhone 4s in early November, and I was wondering two things: will it already have iOS 6 on there preloaded, or will I have to download it? Is it worth downloading? Also, will it come with the new Apple earpods, or the older Apple earbuds?
- Sennheiser better than standard iPhone earpods? I was just wondering if Sennheiser headphones(419/229s specifically) really did sound better than the apple earpods the iPhone 5 comes with. The earpods sound pretty good to me, just wondering if spending the $40 is worth it, I've heard really good things about Sennheiser, but only compared to things like Skullcandy's and Beats. What makes the Sennheisers so great, specifically compared to the earpods.
