Would this be big enough for a Male Leopard Gecko?

I'm a first time reptile owner and I'm highly interested in getting a leopard gecko. I've loved reptiles ever since I was little, but I've always put off getting one as I thought that they were hard to keep. But, as I'm now 16 and have the money to actually provided for one of these lizards I really want to get one (well a beared dragon would be my first choice, but I was told to start with a Leo and yes, I know they live almost - If not slightly longer, then dogs, but I'm committed)

Anyway, I want to give my future leo the best life possible and so was wondering if a 48" x 15" vivarium would be big enough? I believe that'd be a total of 720sqaure inches of floor space ( correct me if I'm wrong). I just hate keeping animals in small spaces.

I got 2 baby leopard geckos and they have a huge tank but you should have a tank this big you should feed it mealworms crickets that's all I feed mine give them a hide hole water dish heat lamp fake plant something for them to climb on sand and of curse the leopard gecko!

It'd be big enough, but I'd be concerned about a heat mat for the cage. Leopard geckos need belly heat, so it's best to have a heat mat instead of heat lamps. You could have the heat mat INSIDE the cage (but make sure you have it plugged into a thermostat) and place ceramic tile/slate over it.

Looks like a really nice cage.

And in response to another answer… NO SAND or other loose substrates, as this can cause impaction for the gecko.

Never heard of that site before. Be careful you don't get scammed buying it. But yes, that size would be really good for a leopard gecko.
