Would this be cheaper than an iphone plan?

I have an iPhone 5 and I don't have a sim or plan with it. Could I just carry a mobile hotspot with me instead of getting a $100/month plan? If so, what carrier has the cheapest?

You can get the $60 plan from tmobile and get unlimited everything with 2.5 Gb of data and if you go over they Won't charge you! There's also the $70, and $50 plan. Check them out! This is for Tmobile! So yours has to be unlocked
