Are the items listed, suitable to bring in my carry on luggage?

Next week i'm going on an 8hr flight from London to Miami (No Stop) i'm going for a month and this is my first time on plane. So i'm unsure about the pros and cons off what and what not to bring.
I'm Flying with British Airways.

Everything listed below will be in my large hand bag, travelling with me.

iPhone.
Phone Charger.
Earphones.
Small notebook. (for my air thinking.lol)
Pens/Pencils
New Magazines or Book.
-
Gum/Mints
Mini Bites (the special K ones)
Water (Got from dutyfree)
-
Scarf / Shawl
Change of Underwear & Socks.
-
Cleansing wipes
Hand Sanitizer
Lip Balm / Chap Stick
Tissues (Pocket size pack).

Are all this items suitable?
do you think anything listed won't be needed?
or anything i should add to the list?

All answered are appreciated.ox

It seems like you have everything you need. But, you can't take the water with you. No liquids over 3 oz are allowed. If the hand sanitizer is over 3 oz, you can't take that.

Depending on what airport you are in (some have it, some don't), you can take empty reusable water bottles and fill them with filtered drinking water after security at water-bottle filling stations. It is free.

Large electronics like laptops have to come out of your bag during security, but small things like your iphone and earphones do not.

The hand sanitizer (must be 3 oz or less) must be in a quart-size ziplock bag - take the bag out during security. The rest of the things can be kept in your bag.

Other things? If you plan to sleep on the plane, eye mask, earplugs and maybe a small neck pillow. A map of where you are going and directions for when you arrive. Cash for a subway/train/bus ticket and also for emergency. Advil or Tylenol. Layers (extra shirt or sweater) in case the plane is cold or hot. I always check the weather before I travel, too. You can carry on fresh fruit and vegetables as long as they aren't watery enough to be considered a liquid. I often cut up carrots, celery, green pepper or take a banana or orange because it is hard to find good fruit or vegetables at shops in the airport. They are usually overpriced and poor quality. You could also load up your iPhone with podcasts or new music.

Everything on your list is okay except the water. Regardless of where you purchased it, you can't carry it through the security check point. The only water -- or any bottled drink -- you can carry onto a plane is one that you purchased AFTER going through Security.

Have a great trip!

  • Which internet service is suitable in India (For tourist)? I need 24/7 internet connection to my Laptop/iPhone/Nokia… Anything. I've to check mails and do some online tasks frequently. Would stay at Kolkata and Delhi. The cheaper the better. Temporary connection. Which GSM, 2G, 3G package(s)? 1GB-2GB should be enough. Any solution please? Please don't suggest to buy a new modem.
  • What should I bring on my carry on bag for a flight? I'm 14 if that helps. So far I have my kindle, my iphone, ear buds, a blanket, a pillow, and the chargers. But I feel like I'm forgetting something, am I?
  • Teen girls: What to take in my hand luggage? I'm going to the Algarve in August, and I want to know what to take in my hand luggage, besides: My iPhone iPod Camera (I might use my phone dunno yet) (iPad if I save up enough for one) A couple of books, such as the Hunger Games. My Kindle Fire. And a change of clothes. I have a few personal things I always take. What else do I need? The flight is only 2 and a half hours, but it seems like ages once you're on the plane.
