ASUS Laptop will not turn on - Battery Light Is On Though?
The ASUS laptop will just not turn on. I suspected it might just be out of battery at first. I put the charger in and the screen indicates with the red battery bar that it is out of battery. (The thing you see when you are charging your iPhone on low battery) I charged it for at least 10-20 minutes and it still won't turn on. The light indicating the laptop is charging is on.
Any solutions?
Battery might be dead. Try replacing it
If you have a multimeter, it'll be easy.
Plug the charger in, test the connector of the adapter with a multimeter, remember, you only need to measure the DC voltage of the adapter.
If the readings are close to the specification on it's label, then the charger is OK.
If you do not have a multimeter,
Turn the computer completely off and remove the battery,
then check out whether you can
power up the Notebook with AC power only (no battery installed).
If you can power up your laptop, then the battery is dead.
If you still can't power up your laptop, the adapter defective and you need replace it.
- Asus laptop stopped connecting to the wireless router? We know it is not the router because the HP Notebook works and our iPhones work. When Windows runs a detection for errors it reports none. We have unplugged everything a few times, have hit FN F2 nothing. The only message we get is to call a friend who might know how to fix it!
