Can an at&t iphone 5s work on Verizon?

I have a AT&T iphone 5s and my friend has verizon and she broke her phone and I want to give it to her but I don't know of it works.

Verizon uses CDMA technology. AT&T uses GSM technology. The two are not compatible. Verizon phones with SIM cards uses dual technology CDMA/GSM but the GSM only works overseas, not in the USA.
