Can I buy a Verizon iPhone outside the USA?

So I found this iPhone 4s on amazon that is locked and is the Verizon model. I live in Europe and I want to unlock it immediately using jailbreak or from a local cell phone store that offers an unlocking solution to iphones. Will this work or will I have to pay for a contract?

  • Would you say waiting 2 weeks outside store to buy an item is dumb? Example - waiting or camping to buy an iphone. - waiting outside for the black Friday event. Is it worth it? Let's say your per hour at work is $7. That 56/day. $280 a week. $560 in two week. So if you missed work for those days that 560 in loss.

  • Will iphone 6 factory locked work outside USA? I want to ask if the new iPhone 6 factory locked work outside USA. I will only use it for playing games and using Wi-Fi only. I will not use any kind of sim on it so should I buy the factory locked version or the unlocked version of iPhone 6. I want to save my money if will work outside america. I'm recently in USA but later I will be in Pakistan.
  • Will I be able to use my iPhone 5 outside the USA after my contract expires? I have a contract with Verizon that is about to expire in a few months. I'm wondering if I can be able to send it to my sister in the Philippines and still work over there if she inserted a Philippines sim card. Or do I have to jailbreak or unlock it?
