Yes and no. In low lighting/yellow house lighting it can make the photo look grainy and horrible. However if the photo is taken in natural light it can look quite good considering it's only a Phone camera.
No the Iphone camera is only 8mg. The higher the mg. The better the picture. The camera is not meant for taking good pictures it will be very grainy if you blow it up. It will be acceptable for your phone as long as you keep it small and don't print it.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 phones have better cameras, it has 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels. The Iphones camera doesn't even come close it it. Even the Iphone 5 is not as good as the S4.
Cameras on phones are not meant for quality pictures they are for emergencies. If you want a really good picture quality you need a real camera.
Anyone who says no is an idiot… You can take outstanding images with the iPhone 4s.

This was a low light shot so… In day light you can get an even sharper image. Also it's only 5mp instead of the iPhone 4s's 8mp.
