Do i need to fix my iphone 4 if it fell into water?
My iphone 4 had fell into water. So i have dryed it from outside and it was working but suddnley stopped. So i had to take out the sim card.
I heared that iphone is water proof, but you must wait 3 days atleast so it would dry out, and it will be normal again.
I tryed to put the charge in it. It worked but they say that i must connect it to itunes i think.
So what you suggest me to do.
Should i take it to a place to fix it?
Or wait till it dry out and work again?
Or whatever?
Well, it might be too late now, but if something like that happens again, immediately shut off the phone, fill a ziploc bag with rice, and put your phone in the bag fully covered by the rice. The rice will draw out all the moisture from the phone within a few hours.
No phone is water proof. Water can destroy electronics, you may be hosed…
Well if you dropped it in water, you can't really expect much, can you?
- What to do if your iPhone fell in water? I tried the blow dryer approach and now I submerged my phone in a container filled with rice. Is there anything else I can try at this point?
- What do i do, my iphone fell in water I was brushing my teeth while listening to music from my iphone and it fell in the sink and was completely submerged in water for about a few seconds but i got it out quickly. I turned it off right away and put it in a bowl of wild rice (obvously not cooked) because thats what it said online. Did i do the right thing? Does anyone have any better methods? If the rice is the right idea, how long do i leave my phone in it?
- My iPhone fell into water I took a blow dryer to it, then I soaked it in a bag of rice. It'll turn on when it's plugged into a wall charger, but it says it needs to be connected to iTunes and be restored, so I plugged it into my laptop and it won't turn on.iTunes won't even pick up my phone to sync or ANYTHING. I need help! I left it in the bag of rice OVER 24 hours.
- My iPhone fell in water, what should I do? Okay, so its not visibly damaged (the screen has no water on it) and it works fine so far. I turned it off and placed it in a sealed bag with rice. What should I do now? There isn't too much water in the phone. How long should I keep it in the bag? I was thinking 3 hours. Is that too short?
