Does Apple replace water-damaged iPhone 4's?
My friend dropped his in the toilet… And he's wondering if Apple replaced water-damaged ones, or not. I heard they don't though.

No, they don't. There's a one-year Apple warranty, but it only covers manufacturing defects (for instance, if it just stopped working by itself). The only thing that covers accidental damage like dropping in a toilet is if you got insurance from your carrier ahead of time.
P.S. There are little sensors inside the phone that change color after they get wet. So even if he dries out the phone and then tries to pretend it just stopped working, once they open it up, they'll know what really happened.
