Does it use up data (from my plan) to send a picture text message on iphone?
Ok so I was wondering if it counts as using data if I take pictures from my iphone camera and send the pics to someone in a text message if I'm using LTE (not Wi-Fi). I have unlimited texting, but only 2 GB data plan
That'll be an MMS so no it shouldn't't cost.
It depends on your phone settings and whether your Internet connection is wi-fi or cellular. Sometimes the picture is sent by the cell connection, in which case it could count against your data plan.
If you are not connected to Wi-Fi and you send a picture message, data will be used.
- Why won't my iPhone 3G send this picture message? My iPhone's sent pictures before, but it's not sending this one. It's not even failing, it's just been 'sending' for, i don't know, fifteen hours. I just tried to send another one to my friend's iPod, but it's doing the same thing. What the *** is up? It's really pissing me off because now I can't send any messages to this person because these are still freaking 'sending'.
- Why won't my 5c send a message as MMS when it's a long message to a non iPhone user? Whenever I type a LONG message to an SMS user (says Text Message in the messaging "box") my 5c won't convert to MMS and the recipient gets the message in dozens of out of order messages instead of the whole fluid message. I have MMS on in Settings. What can I do and why is it doing this?
- Why does my data have to be on in order for me to send a picture on my iphone? I just recently got a new iphone 4.It has the iOS 6 software. For some reason I can't send pictures to my family (who also have iphones) through Wi-Fi. I must have my 4G data on in order for the pictures to send. Is there any way to fix this? My dad who has the same exact phone is able to do this, but I can't. I really don't understand why.
- On iPhone does it cost more to send a picture over text? Okay so basically, I want to buy a new iPhone with this plan: 3 Ultimate Internet 500. 24 month contract All-you-can-eat data 500 any network minutes 5000 texts £34a month. + £79 upfront cost but I was wondering whether it would add on to my monthly cost if I sent pictures over text? Or does the 5000 texts include sending free picture texts as well? So confused…
