Does using LTE use more data then regular cellular on my iphone 5s? Using bell? - 1
It doesn't necessarily use more, it's just that it loads the content much faster.
So, if you download a file that's 400Mb, it will use only 400Mb, but with LTE, it will load it faster than 4G.
You probably will use more data since your connection will be faster.
LTE vs "regular cellular" (likely meant 3G/2G) is just faster than the older ones. So it wouldn't use more, it would just get to you faster.
In a way though you could say it does since you would be able to get more done faster you'd be in theory, using more in the same space of time.
- Why does my iphone use data over night when cellular data is turned off? Every night I turn off cellular data and leave the iPhone on and one day I wake up and check my data manager and see i have already used 25 MB please help!
- Why does my iPhone sometimes send texts to other iPhones as iMessages then regular texts to iPhones? Like when I send a text to my friend that has an iphone, it usually sends as an iMessage then it will randomly send as just a regular text and it will be green and not blue.
- When you have Wi-Fi and cellular data on at the same time, does it use cellular data? If I keep my cellular data on and also have my iPhone connected to Wi-Fi, will it use any of my cellular data?
- Does LTE use more data than 3G? I've already reached my data limit. This has happened in the past but not this quickly, I've noticed on the top left corner of my iPhone it says "Verizon LTE" if I disable that it will say "Verizon 3G" will I not use all of my data so quickly if I disable LTE and use 3G?
