Drives no longer recognized on usb?
I have two front usb ports on my pc. One of them is used for my backup 1tb drive while the other is shared between my iphone, usb file transfers and another drive. I've been using it like this for over six years now. Occasionally I'll have a new device like a card reader or another phone or camera that I plug in without ever having problems.
Today I bought a usb fan as well as a cheap little 4 usb hub. I'm pretty sure it's the usb hub causing problems because it worked for a while when I first tested it with a usb flash drive but then it just stopped. The PC can't recognize it.
Anyway I tried it on both usb ports and it didn't work. Now I try to plug in my backup 1tb and i hear a connect sound but I can't access it. It shows up on the "safely remove hardware" thing on the lower right corner but I can't acces it. I've tried activating it on Disk Management but it doesn't seem to have worked.

- USB not recognized when iPhone is plugged in? I just updated iTunes to 11.1.4 and now it doesn't recognize my iPhone4s when plugged in - I get USB not recognized. I had the problem also with iPad but it was recognized just not in iTunes. I re-installed the driver and now the iPad is fine. Since my computer doesn't even see recognize the iPhone I can't re-install the driver. I'm sure its possible but don't know how. Have searched all over and nothing is working - any suggestions?
- USB not recognized Message when I plug iPhone in? I have the IPhone 5 and when I plug it into the laptop it beeps then there's a sign that pops up saying it is not recognized. When I plug my wireless mouse into the USB port it works perfectly fine. So I'm not sure what the problem is. I have tried to re install iTunes and it does nothing. So what should I do to try to fix it?
- USB not recognized help? For windows 7 ultimate? Whenever i plug my usb cable into the computer and then my 3 generartion iphone it just says that it's not recognized and that it has malfuctioned and the only way to fix it is to replace it? Any help would be greatly apreciated it still charges but doesn't show in itunes. And every 10-20 seconds it makes that noise when you plug in your phone and sometimes when you disconnect
- My iPhone 4S has got water damage. It no longer powers on throught the USB cable. What do I do? The phone get stuck in an apple logo loop when connected via USB cable. However when it is connected to the speaker dock it powers on. I have lost cellular, Wi-Fi and bluetooth and really need to get my pictures off it. How can I get the phone to power on via USB cable? I need those pics!
