DROPPED MY IPHONE 4 DOWN THE TOILET

Yesterday i was at a public toilet and had my iphone in my back pocket, it fell in the toilet. I took it out after literally about 10 seconds and put it straight under a hand dryer. I went home and put it in rice, and this morning i tried to turn it on and the apple came up and then it went back off. It done this 3 or four times when I put it on charge.anyone got any ideas what to do? I put it back in the rice and its there just now.

It wil be a case of keep tryin to dry it out.put the bag with rice/phone on a heater or in warm place speed up the drying process. If it doesn't work after that try phone shop

1st: WHY DOES EVERYONE TAKE THEIR PHONE TO THE TOILET! >_<
2nd: Contact Apple and pray it's under warranty. If not, good luck buying a new one or repairing it.

Usually it takes about 24 hours to get it back going again, but in this case, I would have you take it back where you bought it and explain what happened.

Take it as soon as possible to your nearest apple service center!

Now you know why you need insurance. Leave it a few days, it might recover.

My brother left his out in the rain forgetting about it so it wouldn't come on and he put it in rice then left it to dry inside a tea towel on the radiator and now it works fine just as it ust to x

Think at last 3-4 days maybe 10-14 to get it fully dried

And Cat Litter works better than rice.

Do not try to keep powering it up while it is still wet inside.

If after 1-2 weeks and a full charge it does not recover,
Then go to or call your nearest Apple Genius bar
for 140 pounds (plus postage if you don't go there), they will do an out of warrenty exchange.

  • Teens how can this stupid girl drop her Iphone down the toilet? I mean why would you be using the phone in the bathroom in the first place, and it aint just white girls that do this too, this one black girl and a mixed girl i know drop their phone in the toilet too. the bathroom is for business not phones AM I RIGHT?

  • Iphone 4S dropped down the toilet I dropped my iPhone 4s down the toilet earlier. The back camera is blurry. The phone itself is working but won't register with iTunes. I've put it in a bag of rice in the airing cupboard to dry out. Do you think this will be enough to bring it back to life?
  • If you were to flush plastic down the toilet? Will it go down? Or will it float back up and choke up the pipe. The plastic is a little smaller than an iPhone 3. Like maybe 3cm smaller.
