Found an iPhone 5. What would you do?
It has no name on the passcode screen, AT&T provider, excellent condition. I left it turned on in case the owner called but no calls in two weeks.
Would you sell it? What should I do?
Turn it in at an AT&T wireless store (or BestBuy or whatever reseller sells AT&T cell service - or the Police Department. It is not yours to sell. It is locked, and more than likely, when on, can transmit its location using "Find My iPhone". So even if you sell it, the buyer will not be able to use it…
Flip this around… If it was your iPhone that was lost, what would you want the person who found it to do? If it was me, I'd like them to turn it in and maybe it would find its way back to me… You have an ethical opportunity - paying it forward is generally a good path to follow.
I assume it has their icloud on it? Check that and see what the email ID is, and send them and email. Otherwise click the mail app and see if they are logged on, and email to them…
If they have find my iphone on, then normally they would put a permanent msg on the screen saying "email me at etc this phone is lost"
- What would you do if you were watching your favorite show, and your 20 year old kid turned off the TV so that you couldn't watch it? I pay all the bills at the house. I normally watch AHS once a week with my kid. This week, she told me to go watch it in my own room. I told her my TV wasn't working and we would just have to watch it in her room. She turned off the TV so that I couldn't watch it. Then, she pompously pulled out her iPhone and proceeded to watch it on her iPhone. What would you do if this happened to you?
- What would you do if you found an unlocked iPhone? Would you go through their texts, and photos? I lost mine a while ago, and somebody went through all of my messages and got me suspended from school. So I'm just wondering what other people would have done, if in that situation? Oh, being the curious person I'm I might stalk someone and go through all of their personal stuff, because I'm just a terrible person haha. BUT I would try my best to return the phone to them.

- I found a found and nobody called. ITs been a month. What should i do? I found a iphone 5 and i factory reseted it after nobody called for about a month. A message from the owner showed up after reseting it and I called that number and texted it repeatedly but no answer. So i'm thinking of giving it to my sister since her phone broke but its locked from icloud. What can i do? I have the phones MEID & IMEI number. - What are my options? Its a waste to just throw it away.
