Buddy guy left it on so i'm able to track him from my macbook. It says that he was at this house for like 20 seconds and then he went across the street to a house and then went back home which is only 650 meters away. The dot has not moved off that house since, but sometime ill open it and the dot will be a few doors down off of the right house.

So when I first went on the app and then quickly saw the location change to the permanent one they were at do you think it was a glitch? Or were they really at another house before the one they're now posting up at.

But you at least now have enough information to let police take over for you. Better do it before the battery runs down or before the thief disables or disposes of your phone.

If you get police to help then when they're in place you can then use Find My iPhone to send a loud alarm tone to your phone which works even if the volume has been turned down or if the phone has been muted. Getting close to the location and listening at the doors of the suspect addresses in the early hours when everything else is quiet and when the thief may be asleep maximises the chances of being able to zero in on the precise location.
