How to connect iPhone or something auxiliary to my car speakers without a stereo?
I have read a previous thread about connecting a 4 way amp to your car speakers and then connecting a baby plug to it so that you can play an iPod through your speakers?
My current situation is my vehicle does not have a stereo/head unit in it and I currently can't afford one right now. So, I'm trying to find an economic way to still have music for commuting. I do have a wiring harness to match my vehicles stock wiring (to later connect to another stereo) and I do have a rca to auxiliary cord to use. I'm wondering if there's any way to connect my iPod to my car speakers cheap and easy? Any input?
You can't. You NEED a head unit.
- Why can't I connect my iPhone to my car stereo? I have an iPhone 5C and a Sony stereo. I have tried two lightning cables, but neither work. My phone will charge, but the device is not recognised according to the stereo. Also, I have tried an aux cable: it seems like the music played through that only comes through one speaker, therefore the sound is quiet and muffled! Could there be a problem with my phone or the stereo? Is there anything I can try to fix this?
- Ways to connect iPhone 4S to car speakers? Older car. 13 y/o Toyota land cruiser. Old radio system (only has spot for a track tapes and CDs) is there a way to connect my iPhone to the car speakers?
- Should I buy surround 5.1 or stereo speakers for music only? I want to listen to music and get the best out of it, only by plugging my iPhone and laptop flacs to the speakers. Surrounds seem like I get more for the price, but I don't really plan on watching any 5.1 movies ever. What should I aim for?
- Problems with auxiliary port in car? I wan play AM and FM radio stations and CD's in my '05 beetle and hear it through all 4 speakers but when I plug in anything in the auxiliary port it plays through the drivers door speaker and through the rear passenger speakers but not the front passenger speaker. I checked to see if the wire just wasn't in all the way on the speaker and the iphone and they were. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?
