How to fix my iPhone 5s touch ID sensor?

I use my iPhone 5s frequently (so much that even with a charging case the charge does not last a full day sometimes) and it seems to me that the touch ID sensor just gets worse and worse. I often need to try agian or even enter the actual password to unlock my iPhone 5s and I'm getting tiered of entering the password. I have only had this issue while unlocking the phone and never purchasing contend off of the app store or iTunes store. I have also found two temporary fixes to the issue but neither last long (restart my phone or redo my fingerprint in the settings). Please tell me if there's a way to fix this. Also, I'm going to the apple store (Spokane, WA) this Monday and can just take it there to get it fixed if that is the best option.

Take it in to the apple store - unless you're an expert at repairing fingerprint-reading sensors and their associated components.

  • Nike and iPhone shoes/sensor? I heard about getting a certain pair of Nike shoes and you can sync them with your iPhone or something. Well I want to look into this, I have an iPhone 4S if that matters. But ABOUT how much do these shoes cost? Does the sensor thing come with it or bought separately? If so, how much is the sensor? Where can I buy these shoes and/or sensor?
  • My iPhone 4s Touch Screen sensor isn't working- can this be fixed? I dropped my iphone on the floor and the top half of the touch screen is not responsive and I can't use the keyboard either. Is it beyond repair or could this be fixed with a new screen?
  • My Iphone 4S now has a red jack-sensor after a minor splash. How can I tell if it is ruined? Everething else seems to be OK. However, battery life dropped from 13 to 5 in a short period of time. It's lying on a warm place now.
  • Is there any reason to get the Nike + sensor if I have an iPhone? I recently purchased a pair of Nike running shoes that have a spot for the Nike + sensor and I've always just used the Nike running app on my iPhone when I run so is there anything the sensor could do that the app couldn't? I figured probably better tracking of elevation (I run in a really hilly area), but other than that I wasn't sure if it was worth looking into.
