How to increase the memory capacity on my iPhone 5c?
So I finally got my dream phone, the iPhone 5c and it's great, but it only has 5gb available on it?! And it just isn't enough memory for me because it is so small… So I was wondering, what options do I have about increasing the memory on my iPhone? I know it's impossible to manually replace some memory chip inside the iPhone but I didsome research and it turns out you can just get wireless or wired memory cards that can be linked up to the iPhone and it gives you more space! Is this a scam? And if it isn't, what is the best one to get?
Since the firt iPod in 2001, Apple portable devices can't upgrade their storage. It's 100% intentional because it's incredibly profitable. And I don't know why, almost nobody think it's a ripoff.
Your best bet is to get another iPhone with more storage, or, an Android phone. Wireless memory? IOS doesn't support it natively (I bet it only swaps user data) and should be a lot slower than built-in Flash RAM. Your memory replacement theory is too risky and too expensive.
- Will my iphone run slow if i use up all/most of storage capacity? I got a 32 GB iphone 5. If i put all my music on there + all my apps, pictures, and videos, ill only have about 1 GB left. Will this slow down my iphone at all? What if i end up using all the storage? What's a good of amount of storage to leave free in order for performance not to be affected?
- What takes up the other portion of my iPhone storage capacity? I have the iPhone 4 and almost 1/3 of my capacity is taken up my "other" and I want to know what that is so i can do something about it.
- What's the other in my iphone capacity? I don't have any videos or anything like that… And my phone keeps giving me a random notification that my storage is almost full and my iphone freezes a lot when i unlock it
- What happens when your itunes library exceeds your iphone capacity? Is there some way to choose the files/songs you want to place on the iphone and the rest to leave off? Please inform - thanks!
