How to share the Wi-Fi from my iPhone 4s to my Macbook air?

My Wi-Fi only allows me to connect 2 devices so i picked my iPhone 4s (iOS7) and my iMac. I heard that only iPods and iPads can connect successfully to Macs but I don't know if thats correct.

1. Settings
2. Cellular
3. Personal Hotspot
4. Turn On
5. Enter Passcode for the Wi-Fi that you made on your phone, and enjoy the joint Wi-Fi

  • Should I get a MacBook Air or an iPhone 5S/5C? I got enough money to buy an iPhone for my birthday, but my mothers says that if I save my money until Christmas, I can get a MacBook Air.
