How to use data on a verizon iphone 5 running on straighttalk?

Its not unlocked and running 6.1.4 i trimmed down a straight talk sim, popped it in and voice and texting works but no data what do i do

You need to reconfigure your APN settings… When you flashed the ESN of the other phone to mask the iphoen 5 identity, thus making it appear you have a normal USA bsaed GSM phone, the Data APN settings still reflect that of Verizon. Either 1) have Straight Talk recongigure the APJN settings, which I doubt they will do because this is NOT a supported devices on their network… Or 2) call Straight Talk, get the APN settings, and reconfigure it yourself after watching youtube videos on it

after you do all that, and it still don't work, do you have a data plan?

If yes and it still don't work… Something corrupted the iphone during the ESN Masking Flash… Do an itunes restoral and redo the entire proces… Or get a new iphone… Or get a real straight talk phone

  • Straighttalk iPhone SIM activation for already Straighttalk activated phone? It says I need a $45 service plan card to activate the SIM card, but is there a way to do it without? My phone has $45 service plan active right now, my SIM card is just malfunctioning, so I need a new one. Or do I have to do it when I refill, no other option?
