If you had find my iPhone turned on go on to your new phone. Go to the app and sign in with you iTunes account. It should be available to select. Click it and click erase. But lock it first.
Get the app find my iphone and hope your location is still on i think it only works if you have find my iphone on in the iCloud settings though
