I dropped my iPhone 4 in the pool?

Its been about a week since i dropped my iPhone 4 in the pool, immediately after it happened i put it in rice for twenty four hours. The next day i wouldn't turn on so we took it to cell phone repair and worked on it, the next day they told us it could not be fixed, when i got home my phone was ringing, although i could not see the screen i answered as if i could see the, "swipe to answer", and i talked to the person calling, unfortunately i still can't see the screen but i was hoping there might be hope for my phone, any suggestions?

In your case I suggest you to change your Phone, But I still I want to share a working method maybe there be other time you will caught yourself in the same situation:

How to save your IPhone if liquid gets inside.

Step 1. TURN OFF YOUR PHONE IMMEDIATELY AND DO NOT POWER IT BACK ON UNTIL THE FINAL STEP HAS BEEN COMPLETED. This is extremely important. Any power to your phone while it is wet will short it out.

Step 2. If you have one, remove your sim card/tray. Let dry.

Step 3. Place the phone in a bag of uncooked rice and leave it there for at least 2 days. Make sure you remove any air from the bag. Rice is used to remove moisture from many things, such as your IPhone. Don't worry about rice getting stuck in the openings of your phone. It can be removed easily. I also added a product in the rice bag called Super Dri Aid Hearing Aid Dehumidifier. These tiny beads are designed to remove moisture fast, and work very well.

Step 4. Day 3, blow dry your phone on HIGH. I did this for an hour using WARM heat. Regardless of what you've read online, heat will not make your phone corrode worse, make the connectors break loose, or do more harm to the phone. It's going to speed up the drying process. RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO POWER ON YOUR PHONE. Again, any power to the phone before it's fully dried can/will short your phone out.

Step 5. Place your phone back into the bag of rice, where it will stay for 2 more days.

Step 6. It's now day 5. IF you have the option of leaving your phone outside in the hot sun, do so for about an hour. Afterwards, place it in a warm shady area where it will spend the full day drying. If you are in a cold climate, or it's not Summertime, wrap a heating blanket or a heating pad around the phone for 1 full day. It's fine if the phone gets hot.

Step 7. Check your phone for rice that may have gotten into any openings. Power your phone on. If your phone powers on but isn't working properly, reset your phone through ITunes. At this time you should have your phone running the same as it did before. Although my phone was working fine, I took it to a repair shop where I insisted they open it up to see if it was fully dried (which it was), and to clean off any corrosion left behind from it being submerged. There was no corrosion, and the 4 sensors that are in the IPhone which are designed to turn from white to pink when the phone is in contact with water were still white, which we didn't understand. That the phone works perfectly after taking this kind of damage really is amazing.

  • My Iphone 4 fell in a pool but not just a normal pool? It fell off my pocket and stayed at the bottom of the pool which was filled with sea water for 10 minutes, is there even 1% chance of it beeing fixed?
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
  • IPhone 4 was dropped in my pool? I got it out and didn't think to turn it off. I had music playing and it stopped. I dried it off and it's been in a bowl of rice since 5. My back camera has water droplets inside the camera (it looks foggy) and my flash won't shut off. My phone was on 75% when I dropped it. It's been 5 and a half hours. Shouldn't the battery have died already? Will my phone ever work again? And how long should I keep my phone in the rice?
  • I Dropped my iphone 4S in the pool? I dropped my iphone in the pool for about 2 seconds only about a foot down. I had an otter box on it and quickly took of the case and dried it off. It worked fine til about 30mins ago the home button stopped working and I can no longer charge it. I just the phone 3 weeks ago and was wondering how much it would cost for a new one or the warranty would cover it. I have Verizon if that matters. I'm just really sad that my new phone is ruined.
