I got this weird text form an unknown number? What the?
It says: "You have won 250, 000.00 pounds from APPLE iPHONE CASH SPLASH PROMO with ref no (a number). Email your name & details to iphoneapplecentre@gmail.com for claims."
What is this about? I shouldn't email anything- should I?
It's the equivalent of spam mail. Just ignore it. If it continues then contact your service provider to get the number blocked. And no, do not send them anything.
Stay away from those. Giving your email address to unknown numbers will almost certainly get you in trouble. They'll send you spam mail, viruses, etc. Just ignore it.
Don't do any thing, just leave it alone because its a like a spam. Leave it alone.
It's a scam. Just ignore it. Apple would never use a gmail account or any other big company for that matter.
That sure is a SCAM. There's a lot of such fraudulent text messages posted at http://www.callercenter.com and I strongly recommend you report that there, too. Your post can help warn everybody about the sender.

- Unknown iPhone passcode set by unknown person? A passcode has been set on my iPhone without me knowing, now it is locked up. It says here to connect it to my computer and back up then restore my iPhone. Will this clear everything off my phone or will it be the same as it was before it got locked? I have only attempted unlocking it about 5 times in fear of disabling it. I do not want to back up then restore it if it will clear everything off and transfer it to the computer.
