I have an iPhone 6 (cdma) running on tracfone byop. I can't use my data on it
I have an iPhone 6 running on IOS 10.2.1 It is a Verizon (cdma) phone, anyways, I used tracfone's byop plan and set it up on that. It can make calls and send texts just fine, even access the internet via Wi-Fi. However, if I try to access the internet via cellular data, it gives me a message saying to turn on cellular data in settings, even though it is already on. Every once in a while when I go somewhere out of town, we will drive through an area without service and then when I get back into service the data works for a couple minutes and I can access the internet with it. Then it reverts back and It won't work anymore. It is driving me crazy, can someone help me figure it out?
You need to contact TracFone or look at their support website and find the APN settings for their network, and add that setting your your phone's APN setting and make it the default one. If you can;t add one, you will need to edit the current one. Once you have done this, reboot your phone and it should be fine using cellular data (If you have a plan that supports it), and off you go.
My iphone has tracfone service byop. I can call and text but can't use data. What vpn I'll use tnx
- Will a Verizon iPhone work on Tracfone BYOP? I'm going to buy an iPhone 4S, and I'm not sure whether I should buy an Unlocked or Verizon phone. Which one should I buy?
- What iPhones are compatible with the Tracfone BYOP? So I'm looking at buying a used iPhone 6 off ebay and i'm wondering what carrier will be compatible with tracfone. I know that tracfone has a place to check compatibility with the IMEI number, but since I don't have the phone I can't check that. Will sprint work on tracfone? Will AT&T?
- Is it bad that I have a tracfone in 2015? I have a tracfone and don't want an iphone, but people don't understand that I don't think that iphones are practical. Why don't people get it?
- IPhone phone service for Straight Talk? BYOP? So straight talk has a Bring Your Own Phone program where all you need to buy is a SIM card. My iPhone 5 Isn't unlocked and I got it on Red Pocket mobile account (www.goredpocket.com) and it's been working. And it is sort of like Straight Talk. Can I switch from red pocket to Straight Talk. Does my phone need to be unlocked for the sim from straight talk to work? Or will it work?
