If I buy a used iPhone 5, do I have to activate it on a special way?

I will be buying a used iPhone 5 soon, and I wonder. Besides getting the nano sim, do I have to activate it with AT&T and Apple, or anything like that? Or do I just have to put in my nano sim?

Depends if its reset, if it is, you just have to put your new sim in then it connects to apple to register you as the new owner with the new sim card, but if its not reset you should be able to put you sim in and away you go!

Just put the sim in, and call att to activate.

  • What's special about iPhone 5S? There are so many features to the new iPhone 5S? Anything exceptional that makes the upcoming phone a special gadget?
  • What is so special about the iphone 5? I've always been content with having a normal phone that can take calls and text but what is with the hype with the new iphone 5 that can make people camp for one for weeks and spend £500-700. I know it's thinner and lighter but other new features does it make it different from the 4s?
  • My teenager wants an iphone 4s. Why is it so special? My 16 year old daughter has been begging me for an iphone for two years. She told me last night that she would save up the money to buy it herself, and that she would pay half of the monthly bill. What is so special about an iPhone 4s that makes her refuse to give up? What can it do that other phones can't?
  • IPhone 5 broke, can I buy a used iPhone 4 and activate it? This may seem like a silly question, but I'm not that informed about cell phone plans really… I've had a iPhone 5 for the past year and a half through Verizon. It broke today. Like full on broke nto covered by insurance… I found a Verizon iPhone 4 for sale for like 70 bucks in great condition from someone on craigslist. If I buy that, can I go into Verizon with it and have them activate it for me and have it be my new phone? Does this make sense?
