You'll have to activate your number onto the device. The SIM card does not hold your number on it. It holds files and memory that your phone contain. If you have any more problems call your carrier. Hopes this helps

Now I got a new phone because I hated the boost network and switched over to metro pcs. So I took it out and just put the boost sim card back in it and it went back to normal.
