IPhone 4S gets very hot whilst charging and battery draining fast?

I recently dropped my iPhone and the screen cracked. I replaced the screen and digitiser myself as the one year warranty had ran out. Everything worked fine however, when I charge it, the phone gets too hot to touch and battery life drains far too quickly to be normal. All apps are closed and everything turned off. Is there anyway to fix this? Would replacing the battery help solve this problem?

You prob need a new one

Apple products aren't very good. They break easily and apple doesn't let you do much with them. You can't even install apps from places other than the app store, neither can you customize or upgrade. I suggest android. They are half the price.

Well you have had it a long time. Download a battery diagnostics app from app store. It will tell you how much you get out of a charge and what apps use the battery the most. If this does not work call apple and address the problem

  • My iphone battery life is draining very fast? I have the Iphone 4 which I got in January. I got it used from apple. It was working fine but about 3 days ago the battery life began to drain faster. For example yesterday it charged all last night and the next morning by 11:00am it's at 68% I don't have any notifications on beside text messages. My brightness is very low. It won't charge longer than about 40%, but then it looses charge really quickly. It also heats up allot on the back of the phone, and the torch used to be constantly on dimly but that's stopped now.   • My Iphone 3gs battery is getting hot and draining too fast.any ideas? We have two iphones. Both are 3gs. My phone is going through the battery much faster than my husband's phone. It also gets hot (especially when it was in the otter box, but i've since taken it out). Anyone experience this or know how to fix it?
