IPhone 5c Sneaky Plan
So my parents won't let me get an iPhone not even if I pay for it myself cause they're afraid I'll break it I'm 15 by the way anyway so I'm going 2 buy it myself and say I won it in a competition or else by planning an arcade game? How should i say i won it?

So a new iphone is $599 without tax if you buy it without a contract plan - possibly less if you buy it used, but they tend to break within 2 years so that's risky. A smartphone requires that you have a data plan - so not only is your phone going to cost you about $600 - your monthly plan to have that phone will be about $55-65/month (including ~$10/month in taxes in fees - $25/month to a bring your own phone plan with less than 8gb + $20 for the minimum data plan + $10 in fees/taxes). I think you run the risk that your parents will want confirmation of how you "won" this $600 device and they may still not want to have to pay the added data fees if you do not have a smartphone already. I think you should be upfront and find out what they would want you to be able to show them for you to get a smartphone. And you should figure out what you will do for a phone, should your iphone break after it passes it's warranty date.
- Will the sprint iPhone Forever plan or a similar plan be available later this year? I don't have enough money right now and it expires soon, but I'm asking because it's a great deal and I don't want to miss out on it. Obviously you can't know for sure, but has anyone paid attention to previous years, and/or can you make an educated guess?
- Will I be able to unlock my iPhone with a home phone plan instead of a wireless plan? I don't have a wireless plan with AT&T but I have a home phone plan does that count towards unlocking requirements? And also can I use a mildly cracked screen as a replacement screen on my iPhone?
- Sneaky way of getting iphone 6? Since T mobile is paying early terminations, I was wondering if when the 6 comes out, I switch to T-mobile, sell my 5s to them, and get the 6? I already called T mobile asking what process it takes to switch and it's not complicated. Would that work? My previous question was related to this. I asked how much longer will T mobile be paying early termination fees and didn't really get an answer so if someone could answer that too that would be great.
- Is the Verizon edge plan a good plan for me? I have the iPhone 4 and really want to upgrade to the 5c or 5s --not sure yet. Anyway, I also would want to upgrade to the 6 when it comes out. Should I get the edge plan so I'll be able to upgrade it or should I wait all the way until the 6 comes out?
