I lost my iPhone and it was under a lease with Sprint, what do I do?
I'm leasing an iPhone 6 Plus for Sprint, I lost my iPhone and the thief somehow managed to get my iCloud off of the iPhone - meaning I can't use Find My iPhone to locate the phone or put it as lost or stolen on find my iphone. The iPhone is completely off of my iCloud now…
I was wondering how I should go about handling this? If I purchased a used iPhone on Craigslist, can I replace the 6 Plus on my phone line and continue paying off the lease?
Will I have to pay off the rest of the lease first?
I was planning on just getting a used iPhone 6 for Sprint on Craigslist and activating it and saying I lost my other iPhone. How will this work out and what should I expect to deal with?
No. That will not work since every phone has a special ID number in it.
Best thing to do is to tell Sprint guys so they can deactivate the phone (the stolen one)
By deactivating i mean by the stolen phone exploding. You will want to ask the Sprint guys what to do about the lease. (Suggestion buy from Ebay. You get buyers protection.)

I know you can't purchase the iphone 5 anymore… I lost my iphone 5 on a mexican cruise. I've already got the alpha-davit for my phone replacement… I know it's covered under lost/stolen replacement insurance. I pay for the insurance every month.
- Is it cheaper to lease a phone than pay the full price? I really want the new iPhone Xs Max but I can't afford to pay full price, on the sprint website it says an 18 month lease would be 45 a month plus 40 for service so 85 a month. Would that be cheaper than full price? I've never leased a phone before. I always get cheap phones but now I want an iPhone.
