Music Artist Names all appear as Unknown Artist on Iphone 6 (ios 9.0.2)?
I've been searching over the internet for the past couple of weeks, but am unable to find an answer which works for me. The music I add is not purchased from ITunes. The issue is with how the file appears on my device rather than in ITunes where all the details appear correct.
So far I have tried filling out all the details in the "Sorting" tab, changing the id3 tag along with the usual respringing my device. None of this seems to help the problem.
Any new music that is added suffers with the same bug no matter the length, quality or origin of the audio file.
Has anyone else run into the same issue; perhaps when updating to ios 9?
Did you sync your music from another device to get the music on your iphone?

Itunes always has the appearance that it " embeds" the tag info to tracks, even having the id3 tag option…
But itunes doze not and never has " embedded" the info…

- Why is my music not showing up in the artist section of my iPhone? I just started adding music to my Iphone 5 and quite a bit of the music will not show up in the Artist section. After searching for it I can usually find what I was looking for in either the Album or Song section, but I find it kind of annoying to have to search so hard just for music. - Why is my Iphone 4 not showing the contact names on my in-coming texts? I'm having this issue with my Iphone 4 after updating. Suddenly my text messages are not displaying the contact name, but rather just the phone number of the person sending the text. It always displayed the senders name prior to updating, and now I can;t get it to return doing so. I've tried rebooting my phone and tried to look up some info on the net, but nothing seems to work to get it back. Has anyone experienced anything similar and if so, how did you fix the issue.
- Why do the names of my artists change when i sync with my iphone? Every time i sync my iphone with my itunes library it will change the artists names to something different, for example all of my Tupac songs are clearly named Tupac in my library, but when i sync they will be renamed to 2pac, Tupac etc. The part i don't understand is that for my ipod they show up like i have them saved on the computer. If anyone knows why this is and how to stop it please tell me
- Why are their names & numbers still showing on my iphone? I deleted down people. However they do not appear on the address book but when I create a new message and type the first initial of the person I'm texting, the people I have deleted will come up but there will be an "other" there!
