New hard drive for asus laptop?
I recently damaged my laptop hard drive, when I had dropped my iphone and Lifeproof case on the right side of my mousepad. My computer does not recognize it anymore, and when I start it up, instead od hearing a constant whir like it should it is a disrupted whir. If it had a visual, it would be this:

I think it is damaged and i'm told not to open it (the hard drive little box itself) so I need to know which hard drive to buy. The laptop is an ASUS laptop pc with AMD e2-18000 processor. Please help me, this is urgent. I'm using my brother's computer right now.
Just buy any a new hard drive. Buy any 2.5 internal hard drive not external as external means outside and internal means inside. Also make sure they are sata and not pata. Any sata 2.5 hard drive will do.
- Will replacing my existing laptop hard drive affect my iTunes/iPhone? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but with me possibly losing my data from the main 2 devices I use in life I want to be sure. I've made a system image using windows 7's built-in backup software and will be replacing my faulty hard drive with a larger capacity new one. Seeing as it's a full system image it should save all the iTunes program data, settings, media (songs/videos) and iPhone backup shouldn't it?
- Asus laptop stopped connecting to the wireless router? We know it is not the router because the HP Notebook works and our iPhones work. When Windows runs a detection for errors it reports none. We have unplugged everything a few times, have hit FN F2 nothing. The only message we get is to call a friend who might know how to fix it!
- Put music onto my Asus laptop? I have a desktop computer with over 500 songs on iTunes and my asus laptop (which I haven't been on 3 years,) only has a little over 100 songs on iTunes. I need to put all my songs from my computer to my laptop, and the laptop doesn't have a disk holder. And I don't have an iTouch (iphone/ipod) anymore.
- New hard drive and now iPhone can't transfer music to iTunes? Hard drive broke on dell inspiron n5010.replaced it with a new one.computer works, downloaded itunes but when i connected iphone, it won't transfer (yes i did authorize the laptop). Anyone know how to fix?
