New iPhone 6s number is unknown?
I can't send texts or FaceTime. I went to settings>phone>and it says phone number unknown. What do I do?
Try removing and reinserting the SIM card. Power down the phone. There's a small "drawer" in the side with a small hole. Use something like a paperclip to poke through the hole and eject the SIM.
If that doesn't work, then you must call you cell phone company.
Install a valid SIM and make sure the phone isn't locked against the SIM provider.

- Why does my iPhone not make a sound when I receive a text from an unknown number? When I get a text message from a number that is not in my phone, my phone lights up and shows that I have a text but does not make a sound or ring. Can I change that somehow? I have an iPhone 5.

- Unknown number keeps texting me a blank message? A number keeps texting me a blank message, but instead of a number sending it to me, it simply says Unknown. I thought it was an error in something, then it happened two more times. Is it a person or just something messing up? I mean they're not saying anything, it's like they clicked the space button and sent the message. By the way, I have an iPhone.
