One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect?

We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?

You fix it the way it says. You type the correct Wi-Fi password.

You do have to make sure the type of encryption you chose on your router is supported on all the devices you want to connect. Not every device supports every type of encryption.

Your modem should have nothing to do with this. Modems have nothing to do with Wi-Fi, the modem just connects the router to your ISP. (There are combination routers/modems, but this is still true. The modem part has nothing to do with it.)

  • Why won't my iphone connect to our home Wi-Fi? Other devices and even my mac can connect to our home Wi-Fi just fine. Seems like everything but my iphone 5 just won't connect. After i press the network, it selects and does the check icon for a split second and disconnects again. Doesn't even allow me to enter the password first.
  • Why can't my desktop connect to our Wi-Fi at home but does connect to moble hotspot? Suddenly my desktop won't connect to our Wi-Fi. All other devices such as laptops, phones and tablets connects just fine. I tried connecting it to my iphone's hotspot and it works. I tried to unistall and reinstall the wireless adapter but still won't work. I also tried to reboot the router and even tried to change the channel but still failed to make it work. Do you have any other way to make it work? I have windows 7 on my desktop.

  • None of my devices will connect to my home wi-fi but my family's work fine? So it started when I was using my laptop at home and the wireless connection suddenly became "limited" (I use windows 8). My phone won't work either. I used "forget network" for both of my devices and started anew, but nothing, still "limited". My family's devices are just fine, it won't connect as long as the device is mine apparently… It's an iPhone the phone I'm using.
