Should I get the NEXUS 4 or the IPHONE 5?

I'm unbiased to Apple and Android. I have had both an android and iPhone and like things from both. Right now I have an iPhone 4. Which phone should be my next? My choice will definitely be between the Nexus 4 and iPhone 5. Have you seen the specs?

An important factor to me is battery life

IPhone 5: 8 hours talk time
Nexus 4: 15 hours talk time

Of course the phones are available on different carriers, but that is not a factor in this situation. Which phone is better?

My favorite features about iPhone: iMessage and FaceTime
My favorite features about android: Google integration and swype keyboard (called gesture typing on Android 4.2)

I have a Nexus 7 tablet and LOVE the Android 4.2 software.

Nexus 4 costs 1/2 of Iphone. And it has better hardware.So, nexus 4 is clearly the best choice.

Battery life is an important factor to you, so go with the Nexus 4. Also, you seem to be comfortable with using Android because you already have experience with it.

For me, I would prefer the iPhone 5 over the Nexus 4. Battery life is what I'm least concerned about, and the iPhone 5 has 4G LTE, and the Nexus 4 does not. For me, internet speed is an important factor.

Nexus 4 would be better in everything except availability since it seems to be out of stock and won't resume shipping until about more than a month. Google+ offers a hangout feature that is similar if not better than FaceTime, I'm sure there's also a lot of great text messaging feature available for android similar to iMessage. Honestly I would get the Galaxy note II over these two phones just because it has a big screen, multi-screen function, and a pen feature, but that's just me.

  • Should I trade my iPhone 5s for a nexus 5? If I sell my 5s on ebay I can get a nexus 5 and have $310 in profit. I'm not sure if its a good idea though because I love iMessage and like the idea of 64 bit processor but I hate how I can't download files off the internet and tweak the software. I also have an ipad too. I want a high performing smartphone.
  • Should I Purchase an iPhone 5S or a Nexus 5X? I'm a bit torn because on one side, the iPhone choice seems safe since i already own a Macbook and an iPad, bit it has dated specs. The Nexus 5X has updated specs but it won't work alongside my apple products and android may take some getting used to. These are the phones that are cheapest and within my budget range.
