It depends on you. There are people that can have a brand new phone and 1 year later it still looks new. There are also people like me who drop their phone all the time. If you are the person that drops it a lot than I would highly recommend getting a lifeproof, otterbox, bodyglove, etc. If you aren't than its your call whether you want one or not. IPhone's are notorious for cracked screens but my old iPhone didn't crack until at least 20 times of dropping on the ground, so it is also about being lucky whether it breaks or not.
