How does Verizon data on a smartphone work?
Ok so I'm planning on getting a smartphone (probably an iPhone se or 6) with Verizon. I would get the unlimited data plan that sounds the best in my opinion. BUT. How does data work? It says that I would have to pay 101 something dollars every month. Is it just 101 dollars every single month or does your bill vary if you use less or more data/texts/calls?
$101 every month, plus local city/county/state/federal taxes and access fees.
So you are paying the same even if you never pick up your phone for a month or two.

- When does data for a iphone from Verizon reset? And what uses up data? I just got an iPhone and I'm getting messages that say that the "usage reset date" is 10/10. Does that mean that is the day my data will be reset? Also, what uses up data? All I've been doing since I got my iPhone is texting and looking at a few things on the internet but I'm always connected to my Wi-Fi.
- What counts as data on Verizon's data plans with the iphone? Read more please? So i got an iphone for xmas and i have a 2gig plan, so what counts as data on the phone? Like playing games, emails, tweets, ect? Also when the bill comes in will it show, say i downloaded the twitter app, will it show that i spend time on it? (my dad doesn't know i have one so trying to make sure he doesn't find out.) Any help would be very helpful! Please and thank you!
- Verizon iPhone 4 vs Verizon's droid x2? Which one of these smartphone? Which one of these smart phones is better? What are each of their pros and cons? Is the iPhone worth paying $100 more since I'm buying it from eBay?
- Is there a way to use a smartphone without using ANY data? Is it possible to automatically disable any data use on an iphone? I don't need data while i'm not connected to Wi-Fi, but from articles I have read it sounds like my phone still uses it for things like email. Is there a setting that says "don't do it unless there's Wi-Fi"? SMS and calling doesn't use data and thats all I need when i'm not at home.
