What can I do with a blacklisted iPhone 5?
So I bought an iPhone 5 from eBay and later found out that it was blacklisted. I've tried various things to make usable again such as restoring it but came up with no luck. Now I'm stuck at the activation screen of a blacklisted iPhone 5 and it's pretty much useless. I want to know if there's anything I can do with this iPhone whether It'd be selling it, or taking it somewhere to possibly get it fixed. This iPhone is originally from AT&T and my carrier is T-Mobile. So what are my options here?
Get the seller to take it back - presumably it is not his to sell.
File a dispute with the seller on eBay, get your money back, and get a new iPhone 5C or 5S from your carrier, perhaps?
- Will i get caught using a blacklisted iphone 4s? I found one but it is blacklisted, i wanna use it as an ipod but i was wondering if i could get caught by putting the sim card in and leaving it there. I hate that no sim message. Phone i already activated
- Where can I use my blacklisted T-mobile phone (iPhone 5)? Just bought a blacklisted iPhone 5 unaware. The phone is tied to a finance agreement with an outstanding balance and is blocked. Anything I can do? Can it be flashed to AT&T or something?
- IPhone is NOT blacklisted, but can't be activated? I recently bought an iPhone and I'm having trouble activating it. The IMEI isn't blacklisted, but I can't get any service on the phone. I believe the phone was under contract and the previous owner neglected to pay their bill. Is there anything I can do? The phone is Verizon, if that makes a difference.
