The Apple chat app is known for this. It refuses to sends texts not over SMS, but over their own messaging system using data.
Have you ever owned an Apple device (iPhone, Mac, iPod/iPad). If so, your message might be going to one of those!
Have the iPhone users check their contacts, and make sure everything is set right… There may be setting for non iphone or for stand SMS. I think it's called "iMessage is okay"

- Why is my iPhone 4 receiving text messages late? I have an iPhone 4, I've had it for just a year. The past month or so, sometimes I'll receive a message. However, when I check the time it was received, it was usually 5 or 10 minutes ago, today I just got one from 18 minutes ago and it only just notified me now. It's starting to bug me a lot, can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem? The phone is also running the most current software, I always do updates (even though it steals all of my storage, grrr).

- Why can't i receive text messages from iphone users? So i used an iphone before switching over to the galaxy s8. For some reason, i can't receive text messages from people who use an iphone. I still have the iphone i previously used and it gets all the imessages from people but it just doesn't go directly to my galaxy s8. Is there something i have to do to fix this? Do i have to wipe the sim card on the iphone in order to get iphone users texts?

But if I turn my iMessage off, then I don't receive texts from my friends that have their iMessage ON. Is there a way to fix this? Is there a way I can receive texts from everyone while my iMessage is on, regardless if their iMessage is on or off?
