Why are teens so greedy during Christmas?
When I tell people I'm only getting a band shirt or maybe a book for Christmas they all look at me like I'm crazy. This girl told me she's going to get beats, 10 new pair of shoes, and concert tickets… Hmm that's a little to extreme. This other girl told me she's going to get front row seats to One Direction and a Iphone 5. I'm kinda embarrassed I'm from this generation there are so many spoiled kids getting more spoiled at Christmas. This kid who's has a some sort of disorder gave me a Chirstmas card I was so happy and grateful I gave him a hug. Why can't it be like that anymore? Then begging your parents for some beats or an Iphone 5? Why is that? Can someone explain thanks ^^
We're a culture of affluence. The inevitable pitfall of an easy life is expecting it to be universal. There's no cure for petulance, except maybe showing these kids the slaves who are forced to make iPhones and sneakers.
Different generation comes with different teenagers. I as a teen was not greedy. I learned NOT to be greedy or anything. I got what I got and was HAPPY. These day's kids are given whatever they wish they soon learn they can ASK for anything and will get it no matter the cost. The parents don't want to SAY no or they will think they are being bad parents, but there are being bad parents by giving anything their kids want.
Can someone explain thanks Parents train them to be greedy., then wonder where they went wrong. Many have no money so they put thousands of dollars on credit cards to keep little Johnny and Mary happy. Nothing worse then a whining kid gimme, gimme, gimme
Christmas is the only time they can ask for whatever other then birthdays. Plus, I think a lot of people have forgotten the meaning of christmas and now just look forward to getting gifts. You might have been raised a different way and I do agree that people get extremely greedy during Christmas. I actually avoid asking for anything during Christmas time, I just drop hints and I'm grateful for whatever I get. That's just the way some people were raised and others are just spoiled and born with a silver spoon in their mouths.
I'm pretty sure this is a year long malady.
- Why do teens make fun of me for not having an iPhone? I can afford an iPhone but i choose not to buy one because i'm very clumsy so i have a flip phone. Someone in class walked around asking for an iPhone charger to borrow and i said i don't have one and they said "oh yeah… That's because you don't have an iPhone" The tone in which that person said it really bothered me but i didn't say anything back. Does she think she's better than me because she has an iPhone?
- Why do so many teens buy iphones? I mean other phones can text and call friends and family exactly the same. Is it because of the games and apps, because if not then I think people are just wasting money to look 'Cool'.
- Why are people so greedy & selfish? Okay so I was just on Facebook & this girl in my algebra classs birthday. Appearently she was all pissed off that her mom bought her the iPhone 4S instead of the iPhone 5. She was bitching about how much she hated her mom & wish she'd drop dead. WELL MY MOM DID DROP DEAD. People really take things for granted & don't appreciate what they have. I really hate people.
- Teens why are people so in love with the Iphone? I mean the phone is small, and its hard to get the battery out of it. Maybe the only reason why people like it is because its made by APPLE AM I RIGHT?
