Why is my ex still trying to hurt me?

I have an ex girlfriend who I still love, but I hurt her very badly and we were on and off until she broke up with me for good about a year ago. Long story, we fought a lot during the break up, she would try to make me jealous, then she would say she wishes she could hurt me just as bad as I hurt her. She ended up coming back in my life by the end of last year and claimed she forgave me but wouldn't forget and then said she isn't interested in another relationship with me because the first was based on a lie… She threw my past of what I did to her back in my face, so if she isn't interested then why is she still trying to hurt me? I mean she's the one that asked me to help her so she could get back on her feet, so I did. She got mad at me over a screenshot, had to prove I was innocent and then has her friends block me, they hate me and she tried getting my attention the day after she got mad for the screenshot by unblocking me on Instagram to tag me in a comment I made on her friends photos and blocked me back. (All I put were heart eye emojis on her friends photos for those who have an iPhone) then she got mad at me, she said "Love how you follow all my friends, stupid. Like stop stalking.) and I don't talk to any of her friends, I know them so I follow them. So I don't get it. It's like she's punishing me and teaching me a very and extremely hard lesson.

Better question:

Why do you keep going back for more?

Cut off all ties and she can't hurt you.

Because she can. You could just stop communicating with her - a lot of people do that when they break up. It's broken, let it go.

It means that she's never going to get over it. No matter how much you love each other she is going to remember what you did and it will affect her attitude for the remainder of your relationship. Honestly I think it'd be much healthier for both of you to break up and move on.

Also, FYI, if you have a girlfriend, one of the LAST things you should do is put heart eye emoji's on her friend's pictures. You can say "You look nice" or something like that but don't put hearts or heart eyes. It makes it look like you're looking at her in a romantic or sexual manner to your girlfriend.

I hate to tell you this, but people who continue to pursue an ex after a breakup are generally total losers. In your case, I'd say that's exactly your situation.

  • Why does my head hurt when I study? Whenever I start studying I feel this weird pain in my head. I browsed some others similar questions and they said that it might have something to do with eyesight but I don't wear glasses and I can see perfectly. I can even spend the entire day on my iphone or computer feeling ok. Please help me I can barely study for my finals and I'm afraid that I might fail.
  • Why does it hurt when you put sharpie on your skin & then take a picture with flash on the iPhone? Okay, so there's this thing at my school where you do this: 1. Draw a black sharpie square on your hand 2. Take off your phone case 3. Put your phone camera directly on the skin where your sharpie mark is 4. Turn on the flash on your phone and then take a picture. It hurts and stings a little bit. It's like a small shock. Why is that?
  • Why does charging an iPhone over night hurt it, and how can I help it? Okay. Does my battery die quickly because I charge it over night? And does it kinda mess it up? I've heard it does that. If so, then how and when do I charge my iPhone? How can I make it so my battery life lasts longer?
  • Why do my eyes hurt more recently? I went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago and he said my eyes are fine, nothing is wrong. I've had headaches for a while but recently they've been dying down, but my eyes have hurt more now. Is it from too much TV and looking at a small iPhone screen? I'm seeing an optometrist later this week to see if I need glasses, because I went 3 weeks ago and the eye doctor said it would help a bit but I denied. Opinions?
