Why is tmobile giving me a free iphone when I have no insurance?

Ok here's the deal… Today my friend needed to make a call but with his number… And she didn't have her phone so she Used her SIM card inside of mine. But silly OL me put the SIM card in the wrong way and it got stuck… So I did many attempts to try to take it out. I jammed I'm needles and to be honest I didn't put much concern to my actions so I think I wrecked something… Plus at one point I got superglue and tied it to one end of the needle and then stuck the needle to the white plastic part of the SIM card and nothing happened… But I eventually got it out and put it back in properly but my phone didn't read the SIM card. So I went to the tmobile store and they said they can give me one for free and if I pay 8 dollars a month for insurance and I think they mentioned that their gonna take my current phone as well… But the last time I broke my phone they have it to me for free (but without me paying 8 dollars per month) and then months later they found a problem and charged me like 500 BUcks for it and I'm scared the same situation is gonna happen again… Please ANSwer some insight!

Just take it

You are paying $8/month. I also think the phone you get is refurbished. So they are able to swap with you.

I also suspect you have extended your current contract by 2 years…

1. You should probably go back to the store and have the situation/conditions explained.
2. Look through the paperwork they have you, see what you've signed!
3. If you do get charged later and believe it's incorrect, file a dispute with your credit card company!
4. If somehow you lose your dispute, try again… And also contact the city/state consumer department, see if they can help you.
