Will an iPhone work in UK if I buy in canada?
My daughter wants an iPhone for Christmas. I live in Canada. If I buy it here can she use it in England
It's not the hardware that determines where you can use the phone but rather the network provider you sign up for service with. An iPhone bought anywhere in the world should be compatible with Vodaphone UK or whatever other UK service provider you choose.
I use an iPhone in the US and UK with different local carriers (swap out the SIM).It works fine but it must be an unlocked phone. You can't do this with a phone locked to a particular carrier.

you have to figure out whether your phone will be 'locked' or 'branded' (though I don't think the new iphones are branded) before you buy it
