Would putting an iPhone in dry rice after getting wet and in recovery mode

I went camping and I put my phone in my bag when hiking. It got a little bit wet since I accidentally put it on top of a little bit of water. It was working perfectly fine, but then an endless loop of the apple screen kept turning on and off. I decided to put it in recovery mode, and I put it in rice. Would the rice help my phone, and for how long do I keep it in there?

Added (1). Before I put my phone in rice, I put it in recovery mode. After 2-3 days, would it be possible to turn my phone on normally or do I have to connect my phone to my computer, restore my iphone, or what?

How to dry out, rescue and fix a water-damaged iPhone
External drying
Power: off
Dry out your iPhone with uncooked rice
A better option: Dry out your iPhone with silica gel sachets
Dismantling your iPhone or iPad
What to do next - Switch it on.
iOS waterproofing hoaxes to watch out for

Good method -
Put it in an airtight container & fill the container with uncooked rice. Leave it in the box for 12-48hrs depending on how long it was exposed to water. Longer he better. This would still leave room for fungus & rust to form.

Better method -
Same as above but use Silica gel granules or silica gel packs instead of the rice. Works faster (hours) & more effectively.

Best method -
Use Silica gel method & post that goto someone who can take the phone apart & clean the parts with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove rust/fungus buildup using a brush.

  • Will the dry rice method still work for an iphone if it has been switched on? I dropped my phone in water and immediately took it out, dried it and turned it on to see if it worked. The phone worked but there was no sound so i googled what to do and i found the dry rice method but it said that you shouldn't turn on your phone but i did (maybe for ten mins?) so i turned it off and put it in a bag full of rice. Will the sound go back to normal because i turned on my phone? Should i put in the bag of rice with the back removed and battery exposed then?
  • Will rice save my iphone after getting wet? My iphone was accidentally dropped in a toilet bowl and i immediately picked it up for just a few second. Then i turned it off. Then i wiped if off and even gently shaking it to try to free any trapped water inside. After 10mins i turned my iphone on and i can hardly swipe and touch it, i tried to restart it until i decided to just shut if off and soaked in in a bag of rice. I don't know if it's effective.
  • Will or work if I put my iPhone in a rice bowl after a month of it getting wet? About a month ago my phone got sweat on the screen or it was too humid and hot and so the screen turned white with vertical lines on it but after 10 minutes it would go back to normal and now it does the same thing every morning. Will it still work to put it in a rice bowl?
  • Will my iphone be ok over night till i dry it out in rice? I won't be able to dry it out till tomorrow. I dropped it in a bucket of water. Will it still work?
