Will the dry rice method still work for an iphone if it has been switched on?
I dropped my phone in water and immediately took it out, dried it and turned it on to see if it worked. The phone worked but there was no sound so i googled what to do and i found the dry rice method but it said that you shouldn't turn on your phone but i did (maybe for ten mins?) so i turned it off and put it in a bag full of rice. Will the sound go back to normal because i turned on my phone?
Added (1). Should i put in the bag of rice with the back removed and battery exposed then?
If damage is done, rice does not reverse the spin of the earth and undo damage.
No your phone needs to be completely off. If you can remove the back cover and remove the battery even better!
50/50 chance it will work again. Keep it apart in rice. This can take days sometimes. Best luck.
