Would you get an iPhone 7 if there's no 3.5 mm headphone jack? - 1

Added (1). just curious, with current rumors being that the iphone 7 will have no 3.5 mm headphone jack, would you consider upgrading from your current iphone with a headphone jack to the 7 or would you switch to an android device such as the Samsung Galaxy S7?

If it came with Bluetooth headphones, we could talk…

NOPE BY APPLE

If it came with a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter in the box, I would consider it.
However, if I have to buy some $80 proprietary Apple adapter (most likely), no way in hell that I would.

Probably not, I'd stick to a cheaper 6s, they might give an adapter but do you really think it'll last forever? And then I'd need to pay a ton for a new adapter considering all Apple cables are expensive and if it's not original it starts saying that it's not compatible.

I'm no apple fan, But I think that concept is really not a good idea, That headphone jack has become a standard (Everyone uses it) and changing that, it going to mess things up, but them we'll get used to it. Like when apple removed the Firewire Port of their high end Macs, and people were mad, but they were fine afterwards

Anyways, As a Android Fan, I Like the iPhone 6s (Not that I completely hate apple)
But I still think that idea is ridiculous and I wouldn't get one

Well, why not? By the time iPhone 7 is released, there will be lots of headphones supporting either the Lightning connector or Bluetooth, so listening to music won't be a problem at all.

Yes because rumor is they are going to use lightning port for everything now, and thats a much better connection.

I'll just stick to my Galaxy S6.

Yes.

Don't use it much anyway on my previous iPhones.

Well considering the iPhone 7 will come with earbuds that don't need the adapter those are pretty much my go to as it is. But I would assume the iPhone 7 WILL come with the adapter so it's not something anyone should worry about honestly. If you are paying 700$ for a phone. If it doesn't come with an adapter and you have better earphones or a headset you want to use that are better than apples than I'm almost positive money isn't an issue here.

  • Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
  • Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
  • Iphone 5 headphone jack not working.possible to adapt lightning to a headphone jack? Friend and i plugged iphone 5s in at party to play music.both iphone's headphones jacks stopped working.fried had apple care, i do not. I found an adapter that goes from lighting to micro usb and an adapter that goes from micro usb to headphore port. If i buy these adapters will i be able to use it as a regular headphone jack? Or is there another way to get around it?
  • Iphone 3gs headphone jack only half works? Half of the headphone jack on my 3gs randomly stopped working. Its the right side. I tried cleaning it with the q tip and rubbing alcohol but it did nothing. When i push the headphones to the side with significant pressure, the sound works, but its nearly impossible to hold it. The headphones themselves are fine. I wanna wait for the new iphone to come out so is there any way to fix this until then? :/
